Dining Table by Michael van Beuren for Domus Mexico
$1,275 / week
Bauhaus-trained, Mexico City-based Michael van Beuren created highly functional modern design inspired by Mexican vernacular styles and materials. This example is a dining table with a teak frame and slightly bowed sides. Squared legs sit flush with the table corners. An under-frame of the table is strung with rattan, woven in a multi-strand basket weave resembling a checkerboard. An inset piece of glass brings the table surface even with the wooden frame and highlights the organic transparency of the weave. Marked on underside with factory notation, "Mesa #4." We have a convertible van Beuren table available that can be used as an extension for this table. Condition: Excellent vintage condition; professionally cleaned and polished. New glass has been cut according to original specifications. Dimensions: 60.5" length x 39.5" width x 28.5" height; clearance under table is 25"
