A three-legged iron barbecue or fire pit by Stan Hawk for his company Hawk House. A Case Study Program-approved design, the fire barbecue gave modernist form to an ancient instrument, sitting firmly on three iron legs with bent feet. The brazier basin is made of a heavy iron with handles on either side. A nickel-plated grille fits neatly on top, its wire support in the signature Hawk House triangular form, and lifts easily off for non-culinary uses. Condition: Good vintage condition. Professionally cleaned with wear appropriate to age and use. Dimensions: The brazier is 29" wide, measuring handle to handle, and the basin has a diameter of 24". The piece is 16" tall overall, and 13" tall without the grille.
