Ash Folding Screen by Ray + Charles Eames for Herman Miller

$750 / week

Ray and Charles Eames" iconic folding screen, FSW-6, for Herman Miller takes the inspiration for its undulating shape from the folds of heavy drapery. Composed of articulated panels of curved plywood, sandwiched between highly figured ash veneers, the screen stores neatly via the same module that gives it its improvisational curvature. Originally introduced in 1946, the screen was available in a choice of three veneers, two heights, and a six-, eight-, or ten-panel configuration. Condition: Excellent vintage condition; professionally cleaned and polished. Dimensions: Fully extended, the screen measures 60" wide by 68" tall. Each panel is 9.5" wide and 2.75" deep. The folded screen occupies a footprint 68" tall by 4" deep and 9.5" wide
